The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

One of the world’s leading collection of contemporary art. The permanent collection of the museum has over 300 masterpieces of the Russian art – from ancient icons to Social realism and modern art.

Within the Museum holdings, the Guggenheim Foundation puts a special emphasis on the Russian art. The museum often hosts shows of Russian avant-garde, ‘The great Utopia: The Russian and Soviet avant-garde, 1915-1932,’ ‘Amazons of the Avant-garde.’ The exhibition “Russia!’ of 2005 introduce the audience to the masterpieces of the Russian art from XIII century to the present, as well to world’s level collections of the Russian tsars and manufacturers, the artworks of Kiprensky, Brullov, Repin, Vrubel, Serov, Chagall, Deineka, among others.
