Gallery EK Art Bureau

Founded in 1991 by Elena Kuprina (since 2009 – Kuprina-Lyakhovich), Gallery EK Art Bureau received its current name in 1995. Since 2002 the gallery is located in Maly Kiselny lane in Moscow.

In 2005 Elizaveta Kuprina became a co-owner of EK Art Bureau, and in 2007 Maxim Lyakhovich co-owns the gallery. Since 2004 EK Art Bureau has become the archivist and administrator of the collection of the Moscow archive of new art), the major research database for many art historians and curators. EK Art Bureau focus has been on exhibitions. Scientific interests of EK Art Bureau are concentrated in research of artists’ artworks from Moscow conceptual school dating to 1970-1980-s of the XX century (for instance, Andrey Filippov, Maria Konstantinova, Andrey Monastyrsky, Nikolay Panitkov and Maria Chuykova).
