V-A-C Foundation, Venice
A representative office of the V-A-C Foundation in the embankment Zattere opened in a three-story palazzo in Venice in 2017. V-A-C Foundation is a non-profit institution founded in 2009 dedicated to the development of contemporary art in Russia through exhibition, education and publishing projects.
Developing its programme in cooperation with international institutions, V-A-C Foundation supports the professional development of Russian artists, curators and researchers. Recognizing the growing importance of the art of Russia and the new generation of Russian artists, V-A-C provides opportunities for creating new artworks, producing exhibitions, as well as catalogs and publications.The founding member and the president of the V-A-C Foundation is Leonid Mikhelson, the first Russian philanthropist to be the member of the Tate International Board of Trustees in London, as well as the member of the Board of Trustees of the New Museum in New York.
